Job summary

Billings Clinic is seeking an Emergency Room/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Regional Affiliate to join our BIG HORN HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION network. The role covers emergency and acute care across a diverse patient population in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities include developing patient management plans, documenting care, and ensuring continuity across the care team. Requires current nursing license and ACLS/PALS/ATLS certifications; training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current nursing license in good standing.
• ACLS, PALS and ATLS certifications required; facility will provide training.

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIILITIES

• Provides emergency and acute healthcare services to patients within BHHA.
• Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
• May perform independent assessments and treatment procedures in emergency situations.
• Treats a mixed patient population, across gender, age, and ethnicity, as well as insured and un-insured patients.
• Participates in provider staff meetings to develop problem-solving techniques and acquire team-building skills.
• Participates in peer reviews.
• Participates in a comprehensive quality improvement process which includes routine auditing of medical records to ensure quality clinical care and that clinic protocols are followed and ensuring that the Board of Director's quality assurance committee's recommendations concerning medical care are implemented.
• Available to answer questions/provide consultation to all hospital staff during working hours, including triaging telephone calls, and making referrals.
• Completes medical records in a timely manner daily, including completing accurate and timely chart entries on client transactions, orders, test results and progress notes summarizing patient care for continuity of care.
• Attends continuing education programs and provide evidence of necessary education completion to upgrade skills and maintain licensing requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have current nursing license in good standing.
• Must have current CPR card.
• ACLS, PALS and ATLS required, and facility will provide training.
• Person must be a team player, courteous, and have good communication skills.
• Computer skills are necessary.
