Job summary

Bridgton Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services unit. This full-time night shift (3 x 12) delivers safe patient care using the nursing process and supports teaching for patients and families.

A strong ER background and current RN license are required, with BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC in place or within timelines. The hospital offers a competitive sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for experienced RNs and up to $10,000 for new grads, plus a comprehensive benefits package and

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient’s condition and diagnostic results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
