Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency RN to join our team at the Brandon location. The part-time role includes two 12-hour shifts weekly with weekend rotations, starting around 11:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or eligible via compact licensure with active FL RN license within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous direct RN ER experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS/ENPC and CPI/TNCC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and strong interpersonal communication; PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; document care timely in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to deliver exceptional care.
• Teach patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures and prepare for future self-management.
