Job summary

Paradise Valley Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department and Telemetry units in National City, CA. The role focuses on safe patient care using the nursing process, direct patient and family teaching, and rapid communication with physicians on clinical changes.

Requirements include an active state RN license, BLS within hire, ACLS/PALS/ENPC within 30 days, and 1 year ER experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate required on hire and maintain current.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year ER staff nurse experience; ED experience preferred.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry and ED.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise/guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and document results.
• Ensure EMTALA compliance and report child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
