Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and WA RN license upon hire.
• BLS/CPR required upon hire; ACLS, PALS, ENPC and TNCC within stated timeframes.
• ED residency program completion if new graduate or without ED/Critical Care experience.
• Preferred BSN and/or related acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administers, oversees and documents medication administration as ordered and per hospital policy.
• Assesses patient needs across physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral, developmental and spiritual domains; gathers data and plans care.
• Implements interventions, evaluates outcomes, and prepares patients for discharge; coordinates post-discharge needs.
• Documents care and patient status using the nursing process; ensures physician orders are executed appropriately.
• Maintains compliance with safety, risk management and regulatory standards; supports a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

WA state Registered Nurse license

Basic Life Support - CPR

Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 60 Days

Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 12 months

Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 12 months

Trauma Nurse Core Course within 12 months

Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
