Job summary

AMR in Texas is hiring Paramedics for full-time opportunities to deliver advanced patient care on 911 responses. You will assess calls, apply paramedic protocols, operate defibrillators and EKG monitors, and lead scene and unit management. You will drive the ambulance and collaborate with health and safety teams.

We offer sign-on bonuses: 1 year contract $7500 and 2 year contract $15000. Candidates must have a state paramedic license, BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic, and a valid driver’s license;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver's License.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best course of action using protocols.
• Utilize paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as team leader for scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image.

We're hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver's License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare

Preferred Qualifications

• Related experience in healthcare
