Frederick Health is seeking an Emergency Relief Medical Assistant for Mt. Airy on a part-time basis, with Monday to Friday duties as needed and possible one evening per week.

The MA will perform clinical tasks under provider supervision, including patient preparation, vital signs, histories, and assisting with procedures. Qualifications

• Certified/Licensed MA preferred; CNA/EMT/LPN with healthcare degree acceptable.
• 1–2 years of experience in medical practice or clinical setting.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Proficient computer skills with EMR experience and MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and patient histories; prepare patients for examination.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Document in the EHR accurately and completely; manage medications and lab results.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and medications.
• Prepare rooms, maintain stock and sterilize equipment; ensure infection control standards.
