Location: Knoxville, TN

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Commission/Performance Incentives

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated, driven, and results-oriented Emergency Recovery Coordinator (ERC) to join our growing fire and water damage restoration team.

This is not your typical 9-to-5 position. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment and understands the importance of being first on the scene when disaster strikes.

As an Emergency Recovery Coordinator, you will be responsible for identifying fire-loss opportunities, responding to emergency situations, developing relationships with property owners and key referral sources, and generating new restoration business.

This is a field-based business development and sales position with significant earning potential for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities
Emergency Recovery & Fire-Loss Opportunities

Monitor publicly available emergency incident information and identify potential fire and property damage restoration opportunities.

Respond promptly to fire-loss locations when appropriate and permitted.

Professionally introduce our company's emergency restoration services to affected property owners.

Build trust with homeowners and business owners during difficult situations.

Coordinate with internal mitigation and restoration teams to facilitate rapid response.

Follow all applicable laws, solicitation restrictions, emergency scene access rules, and instructions from incident command personnel.

Business Development & Relationship Building

Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with fire departments, first responders, property managers, insurance professionals, and other referral partners.

Identify new opportunities to expand the company's emergency restoration services.

Generate qualified leads and convert opportunities into restoration projects.

Build a consistent pipeline of fire, smoke, water, and other property damage restoration opportunities.

Represent the company professionally at networking events, industry functions, and community activities.

Meet with property owners to explain available emergency mitigation and restoration services.

Educate potential customers about the restoration process and next steps following a property loss.

Obtain authorized work agreements in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Maintain communication with customers throughout the initial response and project handoff.

Achieve established lead generation, sales, and revenue goals.

Accurately track leads, customer interactions, and sales activity in the company's CRM system.

Qualifications
Required:

Highly motivated, competitive, and results-driven personality.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to confidently approach and engage potential customers.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and emergency response situations.

Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure environments.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field.

Preferred:

Experience in fire damage restoration, water mitigation, disaster recovery, or property restoration.

Previous experience as an Emergency Recovery Coordinator (ERC) or fire-chasing representative.

Background in outside sales, business development, or relationship-based selling.

Existing relationships within the restoration, insurance, property management, or emergency services industries.

Familiarity with insurance claims and the property restoration process.

Restoration industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong sales background and an exceptional work ethic.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?
The ideal candidate is:
  • A Hunter: Actively seeks new opportunities rather than waiting for leads.
  • Competitive: Motivated by performance, results, and earning potential.
  • Relationship-Driven: Builds trust and develops long-term referral partnerships.
  • Responsive: Understands that timing is critical in emergency restoration.
  • Confident: Comfortable meeting new people and communicating in challenging situations.
  • Resilient: Handles rejection professionally and stays focused on results.
  • Accountable: Takes ownership of their territory, opportunities, and performance.
  • Uncapped commission potential, subject to the company's compensation plan.
  • Performance-based bonuses and incentives.
  • Opportunity for significant income growth.
  • Company-provided training and ongoing support.
  • Career advancement opportunities within a growing restoration company.

[Company vehicle or vehicle allowance, if applicable.]

[Health insurance, PTO, and additional benefits, if applicable.]

Why Join Our Team?

When disaster strikes, property owners need someone they can trust.

As an Emergency Recovery Coordinator, you will be on the front lines of helping homeowners and businesses begin the recovery process while building a rewarding career in the restoration industry.

We provide the resources, support, and opportunities for motivated individuals to succeed.

If you are hungry, competitive, relationship-driven, and ready to take control of your earning potential, we want to talk to you.
