Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a physician specialized in Emergency Imaging to provide emergent interpretations across multiple hospitals and participate in a 24/7 trauma imaging operation.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license.
  • Residency in the state of Georgia is expected.

  • Provide emergent imaging interpretations for 6 Emory Healthcare hospitals and Grady Memorial Hospital.
  • Participate in a 24/7/365 Emergency and Trauma Imaging operation.
  • Staff a mix of remote and onsite shifts.

  • Collaborate with divisional leadership to select and implement physician schedule templates.
  • Participate in scholarship, teaching, trainee supervision, and service as academic faculty.

Job description

  • Provide emergent imaging interpretations for 6 Emory Healthcare hospitals and Grady Memorial Hospital
  • Participate in a 24/7/365 Emergency and Trauma Imaging operation
  • Staff a mix of remote and onsite shifts
  • Teach residents and fellows as applicable
  • Collaborate with divisional leadership to select and implement physician schedule templates
  • Choose clinically focused work without academic time or academically focused work with 20% academic time
  • Participate in scholarship, teaching, trainee supervision, and service as academic faculty
  • Contribute to non-clinical divisional activities
  • Participate in leadership and faculty development opportunities
  • Support the clinical, educational, and research missions of Emory University School of Medicine
Requirements
  • Career interest in Emergency Imaging
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive emergency setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively with trainees and other faculty
  • ABR board certification or eligibility
  • Eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license
  • Residency in the state of Georgia
  • Ability to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs
  • Subspecialty training or emergency imaging experience desired
  • Qualified applicants must be eligible for visa sponsorship requirements, where applicable
