Job summary

The Department of Radiology at UNC Chapel Hill is seeking an Emergency Radiologist to join the Division of Emergency Radiology. This open rank, fixed term faculty appointment supports clinical, educational, and academic missions within a high-volume academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Interest or experience in resident and fellow education in an academic medical setting.
• MD or equivalent degree with radiology board eligibility/certification.

Responsibilities

• Interpret emergency and trauma imaging studies across radiography, CT, MRI in the acute care setting.
• Provide timely, high-quality diagnostic interpretations to support ED and trauma care.
• Collaborate with Emergency Medicine, Acute Care Surgery and other teams for emergent conditions.
• Educate and supervise radiology residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Participate in departmental, divisional, and institutional quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in scholarly, academic, or research activities aligned with departmental needs.
