Job summary

Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center, part of NYC Health + Hospitals, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit. You will diagnose and treat health problems using nursing methods and contribute to ongoing care planning.

Maintaining nursing standards, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and guiding junior staff are essential. Active NY RN license and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State RN license and current registration.
• Must have or obtain BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit.
• Diagnose and treat responses to health problems using nursing methods and techniques.
• Develop and continually evaluate the nursing regimen for patients.
• Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes to ensure continuity of care.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration to plan comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in teaching and guiding allied nursing personnel in patient care.
• Participate in maintaining standards of nursing practice and policy development.
