Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care on an assigned unit, diagnose and treat responses to health problems, and support wellness through education and counseling. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering patient-centered care.

The role requires NY RN licensure and BLS certification, with ongoing commitment to professional development and adherence to agency nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN license and current registration.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and discriminates between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
• Develops, implements and evaluates the nursing regimen for assigned patients/clients.
• Records and maintains nursing care plans and progress notes for continuity of care.
• Interprets and reports patient responses to the health team.
• Participates with interdisciplinary team to plan comprehensive patient care.
• Determines components of the nursing regimen assignable to allied personnel.
• Provides teaching and guidance to allied nursing personnel in patient care.
• Participates in standards of nursing practice development and maintenance.
