Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a registered nurse for the Emergency Psychiatric Empath Unit in the Generose building. You will coordinate care, educate patients and families, and support transitions of care in a fast-paced environment.

The RN applies nursing standards, mentors colleagues, and may lead quality improvement efforts. TN sponsorship is available; state licensure is required before start, with flexible day/night shifts and a 12-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program and RN licensure.
• 1 year RN experience required.
• BSN within five years if RN start after 2020.
• Three years psychiatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and patient education across care transitions.
• Provide direct patient care and participate in leadership activities.
• Be part of the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model and quality improvement efforts.
