Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota invites applications for anRN in the Generose 2W Emergency Psychiatric Empath Unit. The RN provides coordinated nursing care, patient/family education, and transitions; joins a multidisciplinary team in acute mental health crisis care.

This role supports evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care in a 12-hour shift schedule, with 48-72 hours per pay period, weekends every third, and TN sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of professional RN experience required.
• Ability to work flexible hours; strong communication and teamwork.
• Experience in psychiatric or crisis care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care including patient/family education.
• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Psychiatric Empath Unit.
• Support transitions of care and documentation in the EMR.
• Demonstrate trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices.
