Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Columbia, SC is seeking an Emergency Preparedness Manager to lead the site program, ensure NRC license compliance, and coordinate prevention, response, and recovery activities. This role reports to the Director of EHS and is 100% onsite.

You will build drills, training, inspections, and regulatory reporting, oversee the Emergency Response Organization, coordinate with local agencies, and drive continuous improvement across emergency planning and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; industry experience in lieu of degree considered.
• 10+ years in emergency preparedness, emergency response, EHS, operations, or nuclear operations.
• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of emergency management principles, incident command systems, and emergency response planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Emergency Preparedness Program, governance, strategy, performance monitoring, and improvement.
• Maintain Site Emergency Plan and procedures per regulatory requirements.
• Oversee Emergency Response Organization readiness, drills, and events.
• Lead regulatory interactions, inspections, and reporting.
• Coordinate with local agencies and support risk management and business continuity.
