Job summary

Nova Southwestern University, located in Florida, is seeking an experienced HVAC Supervisor to oversee generator, HVAC and boiler maintenance across NSU buildings. You will supervise HVAC Technicians and ensure preventive maintenance, coordinating with vendors for timely project completion.

The role requires 24/7 on-call status, rotating shifts, and strong troubleshooting with adherence to safety standards. A High School Diploma is required; EPA certification is preferred.

• EPA certification or equivalent HVAC licensure is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on generators to ensure operation and reliability.
• Supervises HVAC Technicians to ensure timely response to customers.
• Maintains HVAC systems, boilers, exhaust and air equipment across NSU buildings.
• Reviews work orders and material lists to track purchases and time spent.
• Maintains records of maintenance, inspections and replacements.
• Provides technical guidance to facilities personnel and contractors.
• Oversees vendors to ensure quality, safety and timely completion.
• Prepares reports on inspections, labor and material estimates.
• Notifies NSU personnel about conditions, dates and repairs.
• Responds to 24/7 emergencies for building and equipment repair.
• Manages contracts with vendors for maintenance services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
