Regional 911 Intake Solutions in Preston, ID seeks Police Dispatchers to receive emergency and nonemergency requests, document details, and coordinate with officers. Work may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to meet staffing needs.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, accurate typing, clear radio communication, and the ability to learn jurisdiction geography. Training is provided for the role across multiple agencies to support public safety.

Qualifications

• Typing accuracy and radio communication skills are essential.
• Ability to understand spoken information and learn jurisdiction geography.
• Experience in police dispatch or related certifications may be required or favored.

Responsabilités

• Receive emergency and nonemergency requests for police assistance.
• Document incident locations, suspect descriptions, vehicle details, and reported hazards.
• Assign calls to available officers according to priority and procedures.
• Monitor officer status, radio traffic, and requests for assistance.
• Relay updates about changing incidents and potential safety concerns.
• Conduct authorized records inquiries after training.
• Coordinate with neighboring agencies and other emergency services.
• Maintain clear incident records and safeguard restricted information.
