Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EM / Fire Science / Homeland Security or related field.
• Experience in emergency management planning and operating procedures.
• Ability to coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency management plans and programs.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies and community organizations.
• Prepare federal budget and parish budget; monitor funds and reports.
• Assist in the activation of Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and ensure readiness of the 911 center.
• Prepare monthly expenditure reports for federal funding and grant reporting.
