Job summary

Florida Department of Health (Gadsden County Health Department) seeks an analyst to conduct organizational studies, design office systems, and develop procedures to help agencies operate more efficiently.

Responsibilities include CHD emergency planning, exercise design, ESF-8 desk management, Everbridge notifications, budget coordination, and liaison with regional partners. Travel within and outside the county is required.

Qualifications

• All Florida Department of Health positions require the incumbent to be able to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English.
• Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of professional experience in planning, evaluation, research, analysis, business, government, social health, or rehabilitation services or fiscal work.
• A Master’s degree can substitute for one year of required experience; a Doctorate can substitute for required experience.
• Able to lift up to 25lbs, sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• A valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Travel within the county and outside of the county to conduct day-to-day operations.
• Maintain and develop CHD Emergency operations plan and its annexes.
• Develop exercises and training, and submit after-action reports and improvement plans.
• Manage Everbridge emergency notifications and act as a backup Group Manager.
• ESF-8 Desk Management and IMT duties during activations as needed.
• Coordinate with regional organizations and participate in emergency management meetings and exercises.
• Assist with PHP budget development and allocation for projects and initiatives.
• Support CEMP review and PHAB accreditation processes.
• Prepare and organize data for reports and presentations.
