Job description

Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Overnight Intermediate Care/Patient Care Team.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and placing IV catheters, preparing IV fluids and additives
• Administering medication
• Measuring blood pressure
• Prioritizing procedures and delegating tasks
• Managing triage emergencies, preparing estimates, admitting and discharging patients
• Assisting in diagnostics including radiographs and lab work
• Working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
• Demonstrating compassion in all levels of patient care

Shift & Schedule

• Overnight schedule TBD: 3/12 hour shifts

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT): 2‑3 years’ experience in a progressive veterinary hospital required
• Veterinary Assistant (VA): 3‑4 years’ experience in a progressive veterinary hospital required
• RVT preferred
• VA graduate from an accredited program will be considered

Pay Scale

• VA: $22–$32/hr
• RVT: $26–$38/hr
• VTS: $35–$46/hr
