Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Emergency department at Texas Health Southwest, Fort Worth, TX. 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM shifts totaling 24 hours per week, including weekends/holidays.

Requires HS diploma or equivalent, BCLS, CPI training, and PCT training or EMT/related pathway. You will provide patient care, collect data, and support care plans while maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually.
• Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment and good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collects and reports patient data, supports admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and proactively meets patient and visitor needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
• Participates in process improvement and safety initiatives.
