Job summary

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking an Emergency Management Logistics Coordinator to lead training, resource and inventory programs and to support the Emergency Operations Center during activations.

The role requires independent judgment, readiness to assist during disasters, and regular public interaction at community events. Training, safety protocols, and exercise planning are essential components of the position.

Qualifications

• Emergency management and incident response experience required.
• Ability to plan, organize, and test emergency resources and drills.
• Strong communication and public outreach skills.
• Familiarity with ICS/NIMS concepts and EOC operations.

Responsibilities

• Abide by the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics.
• Maintain emergency management resources and equipment for 24/7 operability.
• Coordinate resource management programs and perform regular gap analyses.
• Support Logistics Section during EOC activations.
• Develop and conduct training exercises and classes (CPR, First Aid, ICS, WebEOC).
