Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a qualified plumbing supervisor to plan, organize and oversee the facility plumbing maintenance and repair program at state facilities. The role includes program development, supervising emergency maintenance and the installation, operation and upkeep of plumbing and sewage disposal systems.

The position may require on-call rotation and/or 24-hour emergency repair, and successful candidates must complete four weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air, water, gas or waste disposal systems.
• Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis.
• Must be able to supervise, direct, instruct, and work with other people.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, control, supervise, administer and complete facility plumbing maintenance and repair program.
• Responsible for program development, supervision of emergency plumbing maintenance and repair operations, and the installation, operation and maintenance of plumbing and sewage disposal systems.
• Position may require on-call rotation and/or 24-hour emergency repair.
