ChristianaCare Health System in Newark, DE is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) to support Emergency Department teams. You will lead ED nurse residency programs, mentor new graduates, and drive competency, onboarding, and evidence-based practice initiatives to elevate patient care.

The NPDS will collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams across multiple ED settings, influencing practice and supporting professional growth in a high-visibility role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field required, OR current enrollment in an MSN/MS program with completion within three years.
• Hospital-based clinical and educational experience.
• Involvement in performance improvement, regulatory compliance, educational program development and delivery, and interprofessional collaboration.
• One of the following specialty certifications: CEN, TCRN, SANE, CCRN, CPEN.

Responsibilities

• Lead Emergency Department nurse residency programs and oversee three cohorts annually.
• Coordinate and evaluate educational programming for residency cohorts and onboarding.
• Design and evaluate competency-based education and individualized orientation plans.
• Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and clinical inquiry.
• Collaborate with nursing leaders, physicians, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to advance practice.
