The role requires a BSN, 3+ years of critical care nursing, and a current Texas RN license, with BLS/ACLS and PALS/TNCC certifications. This is an onsite, direct-hire opportunity in a medical center setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years of experience in all aspects of critical care nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of practice (Texas).
• Successful completion of a critical care course.
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications.
• AHA PALS within 6 months of hire and TNCC within one year of hire.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Own the clinical, operational and fiscal performance of the emergency department.
• Develop the strategic vision for unit initiatives and execute special projects.
• Manage clinical managers and supervisors using evidence-based leadership and support nursing professional practice.
• Maintain effectiveness and lead the team through major organizational change.
• Build effective relationships that promote openness and trust across staff, physicians and leadership.
• Address patient and family needs, respond to patient and physician complaints, and ensure safety and satisfaction.
• Communicate the organization's vision clearly to individuals and groups and project credible, confident leadership.
