UAB Medicine seeks an emergency department nurse to provide direct care in a fast-paced environment in Pell City, Alabama. The role includes coordinating care across disciplines, implementing care plans, and ensuring orders are followed.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient status, communicating changes, and planning patient discharge with the healthcare team. Licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS certs are required within specified timeframes for hire and transfer.

Formación

• BLS valid within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• ACLS valid within 180 days of hire or transfer date.
• PALS valid within 180 days of hire or transfer date.
• RN license issued by Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care per policy and protocol.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; document patient condition.
• Coordinate disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders; coordinate discharge planning.
