Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department in Pell City, AL. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate multidisciplinary services, and support discharge planning in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include implementing care plans, documenting patient status, and adhering to policies. Eligible positions offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within a leading health system.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire date.
• ALS (ACLS) within 180 days of hire date.
• PALS within 180 days of hire date.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per organizational policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assist with patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
