Job summary

MUSC Health in Charleston, SC invites applicants to join the Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship, a one-year program designed to train graduates to become ultrasound program directors and leaders in Emergency Ultrasound (EUS). Fellows will attend weekly conferences, teach in labs and lectures, and help shape the ultrasound curriculum.

The fellowship requires completion of an ACGME-accredited EM residency, board certification or eligibility, SC medical licensure, and hospital credentialing

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• SC medical license and hospital credentialing prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly EUS conferences and ultrasound curriculum.
• Teach in lab and lecture settings; co-lead curriculum development.
• Complete 752 clinical hours per year and provide hands-on care.
• Perform at least 1,000 ultrasound scans annually.
• Participate in at least one IRB-approved research project.
