The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for the Emergency Medicine Education Fellowship. This fellowship prepares physicians for careers in academic emergency medicine with an education focus, targeting roles such as core faculty, clerkship director, or residency director.

Fellows will oversee residents in the MUSC Emergency Department, guide residents and medical students, and lead scholarly work in medical education, including presentations and publications.

Qualifications

• Physician pursuing academic career in emergency medicine education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residents and care for patients as attending physician in the MUSC ED (~64 hours/mo).
• Evaluate residents and medical students and provide feedback for improvement.
• Oversee the Program Evaluation Committee for the EM Residency program.
• Complete a scholarly project in medical education with presentation/publication.
