Mercor seeks an Emergency Medicine Expert for a remote contract role, with rolling start and 20+ hours per week. You will design realistic clinical prompts, write gold-standard responses, and help calibrate AI models for medical accuracy.

Ideal candidates are board-certified physicians or final-year residents board-eligible, with active licensure. This role involves weekly commitments and ongoing collaboration with the research team.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license required.
• Board-certification in primary specialty or board-eligible status at time of start.
• Rolling start after onboarding sign-off.

• Design clinically realistic prompts and scenarios from Emergency Medicine practice, including triage and procedural sedation.
• Write high-quality reference responses for clinical scenarios.
• Grade AI-generated responses using structured rubrics for evidence-based standards.
• Provide written feedback to the research team to improve model behavior and outputs.
• Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions for alignment.

Position: Emergency Medicine Expert Type: Contract Compensation: $130–$180/hour Location: Remote Duration: Ongoing, reviewed monthly Commitment: 20+ hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Design clinically realistic prompts and scenarios from Emergency Medicine practice, including triage and procedural sedation.
• Write "golden" reference responses at attending-level quality for clinical scenarios.
• Grade AI-generated responses using structured rubrics to ensure evidence-based standards.
• Provide written feedback to the research team to improve model behavior and outputs.
• Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions for alignment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified attending physicians with current, active, unrestricted medical license.
• Final-year resident physicians or recent graduates who are board-eligible.
• Fellows who are board-certified/board-eligible in primary specialty with active, unrestricted medical license.

Start Date

Rolling start after onboarding sign-off.
