Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG, has an exciting opportunity in Mattoon, IL for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physician. This hospital-employed, on-site role features a 15-shifts-per-month schedule (three 10-hour blocks) with double-physician coverage and a lucrative compensation package of $475,000 per year, plus $75k sign-on and $100k retention bonuses.

You'll provide high-quality emergency care in a 32-bed ED, coordinate transfers for high-acuity cases, and work closely

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
• Board Certification or Eligible in Emergency Medicine (or extensive ED experience).
• Active Illinois medical license or immediate eligibility to obtain.
• Valid DEA registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented for a co-coverage model.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a modern ED.
• Maintain double-physician coverage with a second on-duty physician.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity trauma and cardiac cases.
• Work a predictable rotation of 15 shifts per month (three 10-hour blocks).
• Coordinate patient care with on-site specialties including inpatient psychiatry.
• Maintain thorough electronic medical records.
