Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician in Austin, TX to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This role emphasizes daytime work with no-call, no-nights features and offers both part-time and full-time schedules along with performance-based rewards.

You will perform wound-care procedures, manage complex wounds, and collaborate with facilities to improve healing outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility)
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one
• Open background welcomed—no prior wound-care experience required; training provided

Responsibilities

• Surgical and bedside debridement and other procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Use of advanced dressings and wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings to follow healing progress
