Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Austin, TX is seeking Internal Medicine Physicians to lead wound care initiatives across skilled nursing facilities. This position offers a no-call lifestyle with Monday–Friday hours and flexible full- or part-time options, enabling high-quality patient care without night shifts.

You will apply Internal Medicine expertise to manage chronic wounds, perform bedside procedures, and collaborate with care teams.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Internal Medicine physicians and hospitalists, as well as Family Medicine physicians and surgeons of all backgrounds. No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical debridement and other bedside procedures, with training provided.
• Lead wound care initiatives across skilled nursing facilities in the area.
• Provide outpatient internal medicine care within the wound care program.
• Collaborate with care teams in post-acute settings to optimize healing outcomes
