Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support in Florida. The role involves 24-hour physician coverage and requires board certification/eligibility in EM along with a Florida license.

The selected candidate will work with Meditech EMR and will join a team that supports emergencies with no APP coverage. Shifts, pay range is provided in posting; malpractice insurance arranged through AMN.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine; will consider Family/Internal Medicine with EM experience.
• Florida Medical State License

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour emergency medicine coverage.
• Handle a yearly volume of about 10,950 patients.
• Coordinate with consultants for backup specialties as needed.
• Use Meditech EMR for patient documentation.

Emergency Medicine Physician

StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Day 12 Pay Rate: $266.75 - $288.75

This facility is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Annual volume: Approximately 10,950 patients annually (average census of 30 patients per day)
• Physician shift times: 24-hour physician coverage (specific shift times not provided)
• Nurse Practitionaer/Physician Assistant Coverage: No Advanced Practice Provider coverage
• Back up specialties available: Cardiology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Nephrology (available through Twin Cities Main Hospital consultants)
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
• Certifications required: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine; will consider Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with current Emergency Medicine experience. Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are not specified in the job description.
