Job description

This southwest Georgia medical center, a JCAHO-accredited facility, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physician. Coverage requirements vary among shifts and are very flexible.

Position Details:

1. Board eligible or certified in Emergency Medicine
2. Full-time independent contractor
3. Majority day shifts, with 2-4 night shifts
4. Shifts available from 9 to 11 hours

Emergency Department:

1. Level III trauma center
2. 36-hour physician coverage
3. 24-hour advanced practice provider (APP) coverage
4. 5 ambulance bays
5. 4 fast-track rooms to reduce patient wait times
6. Isolation rooms with independent air control systems
