Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage in Texas City. Start date ASAP. Shifts are 12 hours, days and nights, with 24-hour Advanced Practice coverage. EM physicians will treat acute cases in a busy ED and coordinate care with the medical team.

The facility uses Meditech EMR and requires an active Texas license with board certification. Back-up services include radiology and a full cardiology/cath lab support for chest pain evaluation and treatment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with Texas license is required.
• Experience in high-volume ED settings is preferred.
• Locum tenens coverage with 12-hour shifts (days/nights).

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent/emergency medical care in a high-volume ED.
• Manage patient flow and coordinate with hospital teams.
• Work with 24-hour Advanced Practice coverage and back-up specialties.
