Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage in Texas. Start ASAP with regular 12-hour shifts (6a–6p, 6p–6a) and an expected annual patient volume of about 45. ACLS, PALS, BLS required; 2+ years ED experience or EM fellowship; Texas license required; IMLC not accepted.

AMN handles travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance. NP/PA coverage is 9 hours per day. Back up specialties available with consults; Meditech EMR in use.

Responsibilities

• Provide Emergency Medicine coverage for 12-hour shifts (6a–6p and 6p–6a)
• Manage an annual patient volume of roughly 45/day
• Coordinate with NP/PA coverage (9 hours/day) and consults across multiple specialties
