Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage at Doctors Regional in Corpus Christi, TX. Shifts run 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., with 24-hour APP coverage daily.

Expect an annual volume of about 80 patients per day. Board-certified ED physicians with ABEM and Texas license are required, with at least 2 years in ED or an EM fellowship for Family Medicine physicians.

Qualifications

• ABEM certification and active Texas license are required.
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience or a Family Medicine physician with an Emergency Medicine fellowship.
• NP/PA coverage is available 24 hours daily at Doctors Regional.

Responsibilities

• Provide Emergency Medicine physician coverage for locum tenens need.
• Respond to an annual volume of about 80 patients per day at Doctors Regional.
• Utilize Meditech EMR for patient documentation and orders.

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

• Annual volume: 80 patients per day at Doctors Regional
• Physician shift times: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
• NP/PA Coverage: Yes; 24-hour APP coverage daily at Doctors Regional
• Back up specialties available: Consults available daily; multiple per day
• EMR: Meditech
• Certifications required: ABEM required; must be Board Certified with active Texas license; minimum 2 years of ED experience or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine fellowship
