Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician in Rockville, MD for full-time or part-time work. Responsibilities include bedside procedures, wound evaluation and treatment, advanced dressings, and coordinated care across skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings.

Applicants must hold an MD or DO, possess an unrestricted license in Maryland (or eligibility), and DEA license (or eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing.

Emergency Medicine Physician Responsibilities

Emergency Medicine Physician Salary & Compensation

Full-Time Average Annual Earnings: $250,000-$500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)

High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses

Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule

We offer consistent weekday schedules with no nights or weekends, in part-time or full-time options:

• Part-Time: 2-3 days per week
• Full-Time: 4-5 days per week

Emergency Medicine Physician Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Emergency Medicine physicians, as well as surgeons of all backgrounds and Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians. No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
