Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Washington, DC is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians to join as wound care specialists across skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a no-call, no-night schedule with a Monday–Friday daytime pattern, enabling regular sleep and family time while applying ED skills to wound management.

You will perform debridement and bedside procedures, manage chronic wounds, and participate in advanced dressings and protocols.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted state medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No prior wound care experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings.
• Perform debridement and bedside procedures as part of daily practice.
• Lead wound care initiatives and collaboration across facilities.
• Follow patients through healing and document progress.
