Alameda Health System is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join Highland General Hospital's Emergency Department in Northern California. The physician will provide expert, patient-centered care, manage in-house emergencies, and collaborate with hospital colleagues to deliver safe, cost-effective services.
Requirements include MD or DO, completed EM residency, board eligibility or certification, and CA medical license with DEA.
Summary SUMMARY: The Emergency Medicine Physician will provide emergency medicine services for Alameda Health System. The Emergency Medicine Physician is responsible for the expert provision of safe, efficient, patient-centered, and cost-effective care within the Emergency Department and for responding to in-house emergencies at the Hospital. This position reports to the Medical Directors of the Department of Emergency Medicine, with ultimate responsibility to the Chair of the Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) is required.
Required: Completion of approved post-graduate residency training in Emergency Medicine from an accredited program.
Required: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in the State of California.
Required: Valid DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) license.
Compliance with Emergency Medicine (EM) Board mandated education and training to maintain State licensure and board certification.
Pay Range: $175.74 - $185.26 /Hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
