JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
• DEA: Active DEA with VA address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required if not BC in EM or EM-trained; NRP required for non-ABEM providers
• Experience: EM residency graduates within the past 12 months may be considered; 3-month proctorship required for new graduates
• Other Qualifications: ECFMG required for foreign medical graduates; ability to supervise NP and PA providers
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide emergency medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilization as needed
• Supervise and collaborate with NP and PA providers
• Document patient encounters accurately within Epic EMR
• Maintain compliance with facility credentialing and immunization requirements
