Emergency Medicine Openings in Newark, New Jersey - Near NYC

Medical Center located in Newark, New Jersey.

Compensation and Employment Details:

• Hourly Rate: $240/hr
• Position Type: 1099 Employee
• Hospital Size: 100 Bed Community Hospital
• Hospital Type: Teaching Hospital
• EMR System: EPIC EMR

Program Details and Shifts

• Emergency Department: 29 beds
• Annual ED Visits: 38,000
• Admission Rate from ED: 15%
• Physician Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am) on Sun, Sat; plus 1pm-9pm on Mon
• APP Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm and 10am-10pm) on Sun, Sat; plus 3pm-2am on Mon-Fri
• Full-time coverage required: 12 shifts/month including 2 weekends

• Radiology during the day and teleradiology at night
• Interventional Radiology
• Psychiatry
• Anesthesiology
• Line Service
• Ultrasound
• GYN (no OB)
• Hospitalist
• ENT
• Cardiology
• Neurology (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday; not on weekends)

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey medical license or ability to attain unrestricted license
• Candidate must be PA or FNP, BE/BC
• Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and/or PALS certifications
