Job summary

The U.S. Army seeks Emergency Medicine Physicians to deliver critical care to Soldiers and their families, stabilizing trauma patients and managing acute conditions. You will diagnose, treat, and prescribe plans while staying at the forefront of medical technology and procedures.

Active Duty opportunities include research, trainings, humanitarian missions, and a structured career path within the Army Medical Corps. Residency and board eligibility support are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship.
• Must have completed a training program in emergency medicine.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to serve on Active Duty.
• Must have permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat or prescribe courses of treatment for initial phase of disease and injuries.

U.S. Army Emergency Medicine Physician’s provide critical medical care to stabilize and treat Soldiers and their families with acute health problems or traumatic injury

Eligibility Requirements

• Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy
• Foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
• Must have a current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
• Must be eligible for board certification
