Job summary

adelphimedicalstaffing seeks a BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician for a locum Tenens assignment at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The role requires residency training in EM/IM/FM, Ohio license and active Ohio DEA, and hospital privileges.

Work 12-hour shifts (7a–7p and 7p–7a) with APP support; perform moderate sedation and other emergency procedures, supervise PAs/NPs, and maintain required certifications and case logs while providing high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Residency trained in EM/IM/FM is required.
• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license and an active Ohio address for DEA registration.
• Active Ohio DEA with schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5.
• NRP required; ACLS, PALS, ATLS required for FM/IM physicians.
• Residency trained in EM/IM/FM and case logs for previous 2 years; seasonal influenza vaccine required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a 17-bed ED with approximately 25,000 annual visits.
• Work 12-hour shifts, including 7a-7p and 7p-7a coverage, and supervise Physician Assistants with Nurse Practitioners (22 hours/day).
• Perform moderate sedation and other emergency procedures as required.
• Maintain required certifications and documentation including case logs and immunizations.
