Emergency Medicine Opportunity in Mattoon, Illinois

We are seeking a BE/BC Emergency Medicine physician to join our hospital in Mattoon, Illinois. This is a full-time, permanent position designed to replace positions vacated as long-term physicians transition into administrative roles.

Join a cohesive team of emergency medicine residency-trained, board-certified physicians with an average tenure of 14 years. Collaborate closely with advanced practice providers and staff in a supportive environment.

Practice Details:

• 32-room department, recently renovated and optimized
• All day and evening shifts; no overnight shifts
• Full-time schedule: 12-hour shifts per month
• Department coverage includes 50 hours of physician and 30 hours of APP coverage daily
• Adult and pediatric hospitalists handle their own admissions
• Not a trauma center; no heads or open-heart surgeries

Compensation and Benefits:

• $450,000 base salary
• $75,000 sign-on bonus
• $60,000 total retention bonus (paid $20,000 at the end of years 1, 2, and 3)
• $6,000 CME annually
• Time off is included within scheduled hours (1776 hours worked annually)
