Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support in Iowa. The schedule consists primarily of 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 AM), with about 3 shifts per month, occasional 12-hour shifts, and ongoing coverage.

The role involves ED with inpatient duties at a Critical Access Hospital, handling ED and swing bed cases, trauma stabilization, and general hospital medicine. EMR is Together Care (Epic).

Qualifications

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with recent Emergency Medicine experience.
• Active Iowa medical license is required.
• Locum tenens coverage with 24-hour shifts and ongoing availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency department coverage with inpatient responsibilities at a Critical Access Hospital.
• Manage trauma stabilization, observation patients, and general hospital medicine tasks.
• Work with Epic TogetherCare EMR for patient care documentation.
