Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage at a Critical Access Hospital in Iowa. Schedule: primarily 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 AM), about 3 shifts per month, with occasional 12-hour shifts.

Must be board-certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with EM experience; Iowa license active. The ER handles emergency medicine, observation, trauma stabilization, swing bed, and general hospital medicine; Epic Together Care EMR.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Active Iowa medical license required
• Emergency Department coverage with inpatient responsibilities at a Critical Access Hospital

Responsibilities

• Emergency Medicine Physician duties in ED with inpatient responsibilities
• Provide care for emergency medicine, observation, acute inpatient care, swing bed patients, trauma stabilization, and general hospital medicine coverage

Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Together Care (Epic)

Certifications Required: Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with recent Emergency Medicine experience

Licensure Required: Active Iowa medical license
