Locum Physician - Emergency Medicine Opportunity in Gallipolis, OH

Join a dedicated team at our facilities in Gallipolis, OH, looking for an experienced Emergency Medicine provider. This role offers the unique opportunity to work at Holzer Meigs, Gallipolis, and Jackson Emergency Departments, where you can make a meaningful impact while serving a vital community. Providers must be available for a minimum of 5 shifts per month, with a preference for 8-10 shifts. The focus will primarily be on night shifts and weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care during night shifts and weekends.
• Oversee and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Write admission orders and coordinate patient transfers as necessary.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) - All Scripts/Paragon.
• Manage a patient volume of approximately 20,000 annually.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine by ABMS or AOA.
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent experience in a similar role.
• Must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Valid Ohio state license or IMLC with proof of License on Qualifications (LOQ).
• Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Ohio state license - required.
• ABMS/AOA certification in IM/FM - required.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS certifications - required.
• Malpractice coverage included in hourly rate - required.
