Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks a Board-eligible/Board-certified Emergency Medicine physician for locum tenens coverage in Eagle Pass, Texas. Schedule is 12-hour shifts (7a–7p and 7p–7a) with travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided. Credentialing timeline is approximately 120 days, with privileges required at the facility.

Eligible candidates must hold an active Texas medical license and DEA, have ACLS/ATLS/PALS/NRP, and possess current ED experience. DEA/CDS scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
• Active Texas medical license and Texas address.
• Active DEA license (Schedules II–V).
• ACLS, ATLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
• Current ED experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to ED patients.
• Perform thorough evaluations, diagnostics, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with OB/GYN, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Cardiology, and Family Medicine.
• Supervise APPs during overlapping shifts.
• Maintain accurate Cerner EMR documentation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM). Family Medicine or Internal Medicine considered.
• Licenses: Active TX Medical License, Active DEA with Texas address
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA required (Schedules II-V, fee-paid)
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, NRP
• Experience: Current Emergency Department experience required
• Other Qualifications: CME documentation (past 2 years), Case logs (past 24 months)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED.
• Perform thorough patient evaluations, diagnostics, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with specialists (OBGYN, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Cardiology, Family Medicine) for patient management.
• Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (NPs) during overlapping shifts.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR.
